SLEEP STORY COLLECTION
Slumber Tales
Falling asleep should be easier.
There’s a secret world waiting that will help with that.
Five original audio sleep stories set in a world of village witches, Faerie markets, and enchanted confectioneries.
Stream them from your own private library, any time you need to switch off.
Your day’s over, but your mind’s still going.
You lie in the dark replaying your day, ruminating on all the things you didn’t manage to get done.
Or perhaps your brain has already dived into tomorrow as you think about how many directions you’ll be pulled in and how you’ll prioritise all the demands on your time.
They’re anxious, tight, busy thoughts.
And all you really want is to be somewhere else.
But, not just anywhere. Somewhere special. A place with cobblestone streets and candlelit windows. A world with its own unhurried pace, where the drama of your day can’t follow you in.
That place exists.
And it’s ready for you.
There’s a reason we used to tell stories around the fire.
Your body wants to rest, but your mind has other ideas.
Scrolling makes you feel more buzzed, and binge-watching your favourite show doesn’t quite settle you either.
After all the busyness of your day, it’s not surprising your brain won’t switch off on command.
Our minds need somewhere else to go at the end of the day. A threshold to cross.
A story to tiptoe into.
The Slumber Library is your doorway to a quieter place.
Stories are thresholds to some place else.
The sleep stories in the Slumber Library are real stories, with characters, warmth, and the sense that you’ve stepped into your own cosy little pocket of magic.
They’re written to transport you somewhere sensory and absorbing, where you can distance yourself from the noise of your day.
There’s no technique to learn.
They’re just stories, doing what stories have always done.
Welcome to the Slumber Library.
The Slumber Tales is a collection of five original audio sleep stories.
Two stories are set in Little Morven, an English village where magic lives behind the hedgerows, where mornings at the bakery smell of butter and brown sugar, and a witch keeps her door unlocked and her kettle whistling.
Two tales venture into Faerie, the world that lies just beyond the Morven Stones. Gnomes watch over sacred rivers underground, elves build their homes inside living trees, and an ancient apothecary has been mixing remedies for longer than anyone can remember.
And one is something else entirely—a museum where fairy tales come to life and the exhibits may not be exhibits after all.
There are five magical stories in one library. They’re yours to return to whenever you need them.
You can stream them from your private Slumber Library on this website—no downloads or third-party apps—just your login and five doors into somewhere else.
Five doorways to step through.
The Witch’s Cottage
An autumn afternoon stroll down a quiet country lane leads you to the cottage of Hattie Abernathy—village witch, grandmother to a certain red-haired boy, and keeper of a cantankerous cat. The tea is brewing. The fire is lit. And the flames have stories to tell.
The Currant Bun
The village bakery just before closing. The oven is still warm, the dough is rising, and freckle-faced Tom has honeyed milk and buttered bread waiting. It’s the kind of evening where all you need do is linger a little longer.
The Apothecary of Stinedorv
Deep beneath the earth in a gnome town built around a sacred river, a half-elf, half-gnome apothecary tends his ancient shop. The herbs are fragrant, customers come and go, and there’s a sleeping draught with your name on it.
The Elven Confectioner
A rainy night in an elvish woodland village, where the shops grow inside trees and a confectioners called The Honey Bean serves drinks made from saska beans. Find a mossy nook, and let Callen brew you something warm.
The Museum of Fairy Tales
A museum where the fairy tales are alive, the porridge is always hot, and the pig who built his house from straw has an important message for you. Get dressed by a seamstress who isn’t quite what she seems, wander the forest paths, and end the night in exactly the right bed.
Press play on a more enchanting bedtime routine.
I wrote these stories for people whose days follow them to bed. For those of you who used to love reading but somehow got drawn into a world that doesn’t stop long enough for you to open that book.
These stories are for the quietly anxious and the overstimulated, for anyone who suspects there’s still magic in the world but it feels too far away to find.
The Slumber Library is here at 11pm when the day is still buzzing through your mind. It’s here at 2am when your thoughts wake you up. And it’s here on Sunday afternoons when you just want to disappear somewhere enchanting.
